The Company

Ozgene, a leading biotechnology company in Australia, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Administrator to join our team in Bentley. The Administrator will be responsible for managing the transportation of our biotechnology products and materials from point of origin to final destination.

The Position

Ozgene is a global provider of animal models for biomedical research worldwide. Our unique capabilities, using lean principles and expertise allow us to deliver the highest quality mice and rats to researchers worldwide. Our team of experts is committed to providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients throughout the research process.

Your Duties will Include

• Coordinate and manage transportation of biotechnology products and materials, including live animals
• Work with vendors, carriers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of shipments
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate any delays or issues to relevant parties
• Manage customs clearance and documentation for international shipments
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and identify areas for improvem

Our successful applicant will have:

• Demonstrated excellent organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and able to remain calm under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in logistics operations, preferably in the biomedical/biotechnology field OR relevant prior experience in managing and coordinating teams including external stakeholders
• Interest in the science and biomedicine field
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Understanding of customs regulations and documentation requirements

Desirable:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics, or Biotechnology
