Thank you for your engagement and feedback regarding our recent announcement about aligning our mouse and rat feed with JAX standards. We greatly value your input and understand the importance of ensuring that any changes support your research.

Refining Our Feed Strategy

Following discussions with researchers and careful internal review, we have decided not to proceed with a full feed change across colonies. Instead:

• Ozgene ARC stock strains will remain on the current feed to ensure continuity and stability for your research.
• Ozgene custom model lines will transition to the new feed, which is expected to improve breeding performance and animal health outcomes.

This approach maintains consistency for established research projects and allows us to gain the benefits of the new diet in our new model generation work.

Next Steps & Consultation

We want to make sure future changes are guided by robust evidence and broad input. To that end, we will:

• Collect data on the effects of the new feed in Ozgene colonies and report the outcomes to the research community.
• Begin a structured consultation process with research groups before making any broad feed adjustments.
• Share more detailed data on strain-specific effects of the new feed as they become available.
