We are excited to bring you details of our upcoming webinar with The Jackson Laboratory, a new quote feature now live in the Ozgene ARC ordering portal, and a reminder to complete the rat feed survey.
Webinar Mouse strains for common autoimmune diseases
Join us for the next edition of our webinar series with The Jackson Laboratory.
JAX offers an extensive collection of mouse strains for studying autoimmune disorders, including spontaneous disease models and induced disease models. The webinar will highlight strains that have provided critical insights into Lupus, Psoriasis, Type I Diabetes, and Multiple Sclerosis.
Gain practical tips for identifying relevant strains, and learn how Ozgene can support your studies by importing JAX strains or developing custom, novel models tailored to your research needs.

New feature
Generate quotes in the ordering portal

We are excited to introduce a new quote feature in the Ozgene ARC ordering portal. You can now generate non-binding quotes that include animal numbers and shipping costs, using a workflow very similar to placing an order.
How it works:
- Click “Quote” in the side menu
- Select strain, sex, age, and quantity
- Add additional items, if required
- Select the delivery postcode
- Click “Add to Quote”
- View animal and shipping costs
- Export your quote to Excel
This new feature makes it easier to plan, budget, and share pricing details before submitting an order.
Rat feed
Complete survey by 28 February
In our November newsletter, we outlined that Ozgene ARC is evaluating a potential transition to a new rat feed to support animal health and welfare outcomes and better align body weights with published reference data.
We would like to clarify that no change to rat feed was made when Ozgene ARC assumed the services of the former Animal Resources Centre. Ozgene ARC has continued using the same rat feed that was in place previously.
Thank you to the researchers who have already completed the survey. If you have not yet had the opportunity to respond, we encourage you to submit the form, as we are planning to make a decision in this quarter. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will help guide this process.
