NO PROJECT QUEUES WITH goGermline™
How long does it
take to generate humanized
mouse models?
A revolutionary technology for generating gene-targeted humanized mice. Germline transmission is achieved faster and more efficiently with no excess mice, expediting time to first experimental transgenic mice.

- Ozgene generates mouse models via gene targeting in ES cells using our proprietary goGermline™ technology, which vastly improves the 3R efficiencies and the timeline for development of gene targeted mouse models.
- We also use various technologies to validate and phenotype your mouse lines e.g. RT-qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA and flow cytometry.
- Ozgene is able to create large, gene-targeted replacement models. This system enables routine generation of mouse models with very large genomic replacements.
Ozgene offers gene targeting on the following backgrounds:
- C57BL/6J
- C57BL/6N
- BALB/c
- FVB/n
- NOD
- Less common strains as required
We generate genetically engineered humanized models where the human gene replaces the mouse gene, for example
- humanizing point mutations,
- humanizing domains, such as extracellular domains,
- humanizing the entire gene,
- humanizing multi-gene loci.
- Knock in mice
- Knock out mice
- Conditional knockout mice (or floxed mice)
- Other transgenic mice
- Predictable Phenotypes: Targeted modifications result in predictable phenotypes, making it easier to understand the role of specific genes in disease and assess the impact of potential drugs.
- Improved Model Validity: By closely mimicking human genetic conditions, targeted transgenic mice provide more accurate models for studying human diseases and drug responses.
- Reduced Risk of Unintended Effects: The precision of targeted integration reduces the risk of unintended genetic effects, ensuring that observed drug responses are due to the intended gene modifications.
