AAALAC news, T&Cs, timed mating & imports
We are pleased to share a number of exciting updates from Ozgene ARC, including AAALAC accreditation for our Perth facility, updated Terms & Conditions, the introduction of timed mating requests through the ordering portal, and expanded importation services to support your research.
Full AAALAC accreditation awarded

We are excited to announce that Ozgene and Ozgene ARC have been awarded full AAALAC International accreditation for our Perth facility. With this milestone, all Ozgene-owned vivariums worldwide are now AAALAC-accredited, and our Perth facility is one of only three accredited facilities in Australia.
We relocated to our new Perth facility in December 2024. Achieving this globally recognised standard just over a year later reflects the strength of our systems and our commitment to supporting high-quality, responsible research.
Thank you to our Animal Technicians, Vets and operational staff – your dedication and expertise have made this achievement possible.
Updated Terms & Conditions
The Ozgene ARC Terms & Conditions have been updated and rewritten in plain English to make them easier to understand. The essential commercial terms remain unchanged, including existing payment terms and cancellation windows.
The update now provides greater clarity on several areas, including:
- conditions covered during animal inspection prior to dispatch,
- clear classification of standard and non-standard products, and
- strain breeding permissions.
Please note that breeding of Ozgene ARC-owned strains continues to not be permitted. Any breeding rights must be expressly granted in writing by Ozgene ARC and may be subject to licence fees, reporting obligations, and royalty arrangements.
Request timed mating via the ordering portal
Timed mating can now be requested directly through the Ozgene ARC ordering portal, streamlining quoting and coordination. This service is designed to deliver accurately staged pregnancies, supporting studies that require embryos, neonates, or age-matched cohorts.
