The 31st of May will mark one year since Ozgene ARC assumed the operations of the former Animal Resources Centre. The initial transition period, along with the implementation of critical infrastructure upgrades, impacted the availability of our stock strains. We have greatly valued your feedback in refining our systems and hope to maintain and strengthen our relationship moving forward.

With this goal in mind, we are looking forward to visiting you to provide an update on our progress so far and to discuss our future plans. We are also eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions on how we can further improve our services to better meet your research needs. We have already visited some of our key customers in Perth, and next week our journey will continue to Brisbane, Sydney, and Newcastle. After these visits, we plan to meet with customers in Melbourne, Canberra, and Adelaide in May, although we are still finalising the exact dates.

Preorders extended to 12 weeks

We are pleased to inform you that the duration for all preorders has been extended from 4 weeks to 12 weeks. This extension allows you to place orders up to July or August, depending on the age of the animals you require. Preorders are currently active for the following strains, and we will introduce more as we secure a stable and predictable output for them.

Share your feedback with us

The Ozgene ARC ordering portal now features a “Submit feedback” link in the main menu, directing you to the Ozgene ARC feedback form. This form enables you to provide feedback on a variety of topics, including the availability and quality of animals, portal functionality, and ancillary services, among others.

If the availability of animals for your required strain is insufficient, we encourage you to use the form to specify your particular strain and requirements. Additionally, the form can be utilised to provide feedback or request actions regarding a specific order.

Deviated septum check update

Another update to our ordering portal includes a $3 charge for a deviated septum check, aligning with the fees charged by the Animal Resources Centre when they offered this service. Simply select the option in the “Additional Items” field, and the portal will automatically add the charge to each animal. This charge will only apply to new orders.

Over 3000 orders placed!

We are thrilled to share that our portal has seen over 3,261 orders, with 3,122 already delivered and another 139 on their way to you in the coming weeks and months. It is great to see the increasing use of our preorder feature, as it significantly aids in forecasting demand for specific strains, ensuring we can better plan for availability.
